Can you believe that fall is here? After an \u003Cem>\u003Cstrong>action-packed summer of both work projects and family fun and travel\u003C/strong>\u003C/em> with my kids, I feel like the season flew by and I'm only just now really starting to reflect on everything from the past few months. One thing that came to mind is that\u003Cem>\u003Cstrong> I really wanted to share more about some of our special events projects we worked on in the Hamptons this summer!\u003C/strong>\u003C/em>\u003C/span>\r\n\r\n\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular;\">As you know, KKH had a blast participating in the \u003Ca href=\"http://holidayhousehamptons.com/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u003Cem>\u003Cstrong>Summer 2022 Holiday House Hamptons Annual Tabletop Event\u003C/strong>\u003C/em>\u003C/a> at \u003Ca href=\"https://www.toppingrosehouse.com/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Topping Rose House\u003C/a> in Bridgehampton in July. \u003C/span>\r\n\u003Cblockquote>\r\n\u003Cp style=\"text-align: center;\">\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular;\">\u003Cstrong>\"This was an amazing event and ticket sales went to benefit breast cancer research and prevention. In short, we designed a fantastical tabletop design, got to showcase it alongside some truly talented industry peers, and it was all for a great cause--nothing better than that!\"\u003C/strong>\u003C/span>\u003C/p>\r\n\u003C/blockquote>\r\n\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular;\">This project was truly a labor of love and even though we shared a reveal of the final look already (check that post our \u003Ca href=\"https://www.kathykuohome.com/blog/supporting-holiday-house-with-a-rustic-chic-tablescape-design/?utm_source=social&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=holidayhousebts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HERE\u003C/a>), I wanted to shine a light on all of the behind-the-scenes work it takes on behalf of my \u003Ca href=\"https://www.kathykuohome.com/designservices?utm_source=social&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=holidayhousebts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Design Team\u003C/a> and Branding Team here at Kathy Kuo Home. \u003Cem>\u003Cstrong>Every detail is given so much thought!\u003C/strong>\u003C/em> Read on to see how it all came together.\u003C/span>\r\n\r\n\u003Chr />\r\n\r\n\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular;\">\u003Ca href=\"https://www.kathykuohome.com/designservices?utm_source=social&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=holidayhousebts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \u003Cimg class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22104\" src=\"https://d307biz9bwtpmz.cloudfront.net/articles/content/DB.jpg\" alt=\"banner\" width=\"2000\" height=\"348\" />\u003C/a>\u003C/span>\r\n\r\n\u003Chr />\r\n\r\n\u003Ch2 style=\"text-align: center;\">\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular;\">\u003Cstrong>Hamptons Coastal with a Whimsical Flair\u003C/strong>\u003C/span>\u003C/h2>\r\n\u003Cdiv>\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular;\">When we started work on our Holiday House \u003Ca href=\"https://www.kathykuohome.com/pages/tabletop-collection/?utm_source=social&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=holidayhousebts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tablescape\u003C/a>, we first determined that \u003Cem>\u003Cstrong>we wanted the ambiance to be light, airy, elegant, and whimsical\u003C/strong>\u003C/em>. We also decided on a color palette early on, settling on neutral colors with some blue accents and greenery.\u003C/span>\u003C/div>\r\n\u003Cdiv>\u003C/div>\r\n\u003Cblockquote>\r\n\u003Cdiv style=\"text-align: center;\">\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular;\">\u003Cstrong>\"The goal was to create a whimsical dining setup that was not just visually appealing, but also intentional and thoughtful, with individual vignettes that inspired delight from every angle.\"\u003C/strong>\u003C/span>\u003C/div>\u003C/blockquote>\r\n\u003Cdiv>\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular;\">Since this was an event all about \"coming together,\" our Design Team really put thought into how to tie that sentiment with the designs. Finally, we thoughtfully placed neutral and light colored furniture throughout the vignette so that the centerpiece--the tablescape itself--stood out as the star and made a \u003Cem>\u003Cstrong>lasting visual impact\u003C/strong>\u003C/em>. Like I'm sure many of you do when you start a new project at home, we first \u003Cem>\u003Cstrong>looked for inspiration images on \u003Ca href=\"https://www.pinterest.com/kathykuohome/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pinterest\u003C/a>\u003C/strong>\u003C/em> and collated everything on a board.\u003C/span>\u003C/p>\r\n\u003Cp style=\"text-align: left;\">\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular;\">After pinning down the design direction, my Design Team and I started sourcing for furniture pieces that would fit well with the design vision--while sourcing, we also explored how we could \u003Cem>\u003Cstrong>truly maximize the space and finalize the furniture layout\u003C/strong>\u003C/em> for the event.\u003C/span>\u003C/p>\r\n\r\n\u003Cblockquote>\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular;\">\u003Cstrong>\"My Design Team and I carefully selected the artworks we used--since this was a charity event for the \u003Ca href=\"https://www.bcrf.org/?utm_source=social&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=holidayhousebts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BCRF\u003C/a>, we wanted to highlight female grace and empowerment in the face of challenges. We handpicked \u003Ca href=\"https://www.kathykuohome.com/Product/ProductList/Art/?utm_source=social&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=holidayhousebts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pieces of artwork\u003C/a> that depicted women and some coastal art that had more fluid and feminine elements.\"\u003C/strong>\u003C/span>\u003C/blockquote>\r\n\u003Cp style=\"text-align: left;\">\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular;\">We finished the whole look of the space by adding \u003Ca href=\"https://www.kathykuohome.com/Product/ProductList/decor/?utm_source=social&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=holidayhousebts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">decor\u003C/a>, \u003Ca href=\"https://www.kathykuohome.com/Product/ProductList/decorative-pillows/?utm_source=social&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=holidayhousebts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pillows\u003C/a>, and \u003Ca href=\"https://www.kathykuohome.com/Product/ProductList/serveware/?utm_source=social&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=holidayhousebts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dinnerware\u003C/a> that would make the space more visually complete and appealing.
