They can be loaded with pesticides and the green floral foam typically used by florists is so toxic, I was told you shouldn’t really breathe near it! \u003C/span>\r\n\r\n\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular;\">I thought either I couldn't do flowers anymore or I’d have to find a way to do it without chemicals.\u003Cem>\u003Cstrong> I started researching sustainable floristry\u003C/strong> \u003C/em>and I found my niche: Clean flowers!\u003C/span>\r\n\r\n\u003Chr />\r\n\r\n\u003Ch2 style=\"text-align: center;\">\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular;\">\u003Cb>I love how creative and thoughtful you are, and how those values are so much a part of your mission as a floral designer!\u003C/b>\u003C/span>\u003C/h2>\r\n\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular;\">My mission is to create beauty everywhere and to teach people how to \u003Cem>\u003Cstrong>design responsibly\u003C/strong>\u003C/em>. We use chicken wire, wool, and flower frogs to stabilize the flowers and try to reuse everything. I wrote for \u003Cem>Mademoiselle\u003C/em> and freelanced for \u003Cem>Vogue\u003C/em>, \u003Cem>Glamour\u003C/em>, \u003Cem>Vanity Fair\u003C/em>, and \u003Cem>Conde Nast Traveler\u003C/em>. The real “Mr. Big” from “Sex and the City” [Ron Galotti] was my boss and he hired me wherever he went, from magazine to magazine. And then \u003Cem>\u003Cstrong>I wrote a book about that experience\u003C/strong>\u003C/em> called \u003Cem>She’s Got Issues\u003C/em>. \u003C/span>\r\n\r\n\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular;\">But I was always \u003Cem>\u003Cstrong>addicted to studying interiors\u003C/strong> \u003C/em>and spent more time reading \u003Cem>The World of Interiors\u003C/em> than fashion magazines. Decorating and doing \u003Cem>\u003Cstrong>flowers had always been an escape\u003C/strong>\u003C/em> from writing. \u003C/span>\r\n\u003Cblockquote>\r\n\u003Cp style=\"text-align: center;\">\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: opensans-regular;\">\u003Cstrong>\"I eventually decided to choose the thing I loved more and to make that my life. I love the events and the parties.I love that I can take a break and go to the beach and get recharged.
