It's safe to say we're smitten with this effortlessly bohemian bedroom that appears fit for a queen. Show us a herringbone floor and we're sold, but in the case of this room, the herringbone floor is just the beginning. We're all for a well-designed space, but we can't count how many times we've looked at rooms that simply feel too designed. We're all for symmetry (especially when it's done as well as it's done in this room), but we favor spaces that feel layered, as though the homeowner has collected the pieces over time. Your home is your safe space, so while pretty is good, it's not everything. A room should feel like you, and nowhere is this more true than the bedroom. This particular room has captured our heart because, while clearly well-designed, it feels effortless in a way that so many rooms don't. One could imagine that the owner of this room picked up that brass rams head at an antique store in Marfa, that the bench belonged to a French grandmother who left it in her Paris apartment when she passed. The art piece feels custom, the paisley bedding, contrasted with the crisp white bed, feels boho without being busy. The navy blue lamps help to ground the room and tie into the colors of the art piece. While many designers might have added an area rug to soften the space, the designer of this room wisely chose to let that gorgeous herringbone floor take center stage. Then, that bench with a pop of hot pink upholstery - it's amazing, isn't it? The result is a room that feels comfortable but not overly casual, bohemian but not twee, and classic but not stuffy. It's a room that's practically perfect in every way. So, when can we move in?
